The XChange Business Park is well underway, and we’ve had the honour of being one of the groundbreakers on this incredible project. This 140-acre industrial business park is conveniently located at Mount Lehman Road and Highway 1 Interchange, and will soon be an industrial hub, featuring modern designs, state-of-the-art facilities, and Class A industrial spaces for lease.
The Clear Choice for Clearing
Jakes was one of the first teams on the ground for this project, contracted by Wales McLelland to complete the initial land-clearing work. Clearly, we were not only the right team for that job, but our partners at Wales also agreed we were the right team for more. Following the completion of clearing work, we were soon awarded servicing contracts on Lots 1 and 2. Today, our involvement has grown substantially in scope and currently involves servicing buildings #1, #2, and #3—as well as additional prep for the next phases of the XChange Business Park.
For Every Challenge, Jakes Has a Solution
Over the years of working at XChange Business Park, there have been many challenges—from difficulty sourcing materials to gaining approvals. But we knew going into a major project like this would require finding major solutions to keep things moving. That’s why we’ve been focused on maintaining an adaptability- and agility-based approach. We are solution seekers, not corner cutters, so a fundamental part of why we continue to be brought back from phase to phase of this project is our consistent effort to adjust when necessary and deliver as promised—whether it’s clearing the land, servicing critical infrastructure, or continuing to offer more and more services well into next year.
Consistency Was and Is Key
As our scope of work continues to grow and we enter the next phase at XChange Business Park, we’re excited to bring the same consistency to the table. It’s been an incredible experience working with partners like Wales McLelland to collectively bring everything closer and closer to the finish line. It goes without saying that a project of this scale has many moving pieces, but we’re proud to be part of the reason why it’s moving in the right direction.
