Abbotsford International Airport Taxi-Way and Apron Expansion

Project Overview

For this project, we constructed a 3 km parallel taxi-way and a 1.5 km widened apron as part of the airport’s capacity management initiative. Work included site grading, gravel layering, storm drainage installation, water main installation, asphalt paving, electrical work for lighting systems, and landscaping. 

In addition to the original contract, Jakes Construction completed a 1 km apron rehabilitation and provided additional paved infrastructure to accommodate aircraft engine checking.
