Lorenzetta Creek Hydro Project

Project Overview

At Lorenzetta Creek, we installed 3.5 km of 600 mm diameter HDPE storm pipe and a steel penstock. A helicopter and pulley system were utilized to set the penstock pipes due to difficult site access and steep terrain. Several other scopes of work were also involved in the project.

These scopes included clearing and grubbing the pipe alignment, building access roads along the project site to gain adequate access to the storm alignment, rock blasting along the pipe alignment to achieve the desired design grades, blasting access to the work area, and drilling rock anchors to hold the pipe in place, especially on steep slopes.
