240th Drainage Improvements

Project Overview

Jakes Construction installed 200 m of 3 m wide precast box culverts to accommodate future road widening of 240th street and improve the ecological habitat.

The new box culvert replaced a fish-bearing roadside ditch, providing a more inviting habitat for the fish. The addition of catch basins and manholes also improved the collection of overland water flows into the city’s storm system.
