Project Overview

This project involved the replacement of a deteriorating wood stave culvert with a new concrete box culvert to improve drainage and long-term reliability of the roadway above.

Scope of work included tree protection, environmental sediment control, full removal of the existing culvert, and installation of a box culvert, complete with two-piece headwalls. Following the culvert installation, the team reinstated the road and placed riprap around the headwalls for stabilization. We also removed the existing asphalt and repaved the surface with new pavement.

Additional work was completed in collaboration with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO), assisting with in-stream activities to support fish habitat protection.
