Project Overview

This slope stabilization project involved replacing aging roadside infrastructure and reinforcing the embankment to protect against future movement and erosion.

Work began with the removal of existing barriers and excavation to prepare for a new subdrain system. Crews installed perforated pipe for drainage, followed by the construction of a lock block retaining wall to support the road above. Once the wall was in place, new barriers were set and a riprap buttress was added to strengthen the slope base.

The final stages included road prep, paving, and hydroseeding to stabilize exposed soil and restore the area with vegetation.
