Mt Lehman Infrastructure Improvements

Project Overview

Jakes Construction and ISL Engineering and Land Services (Engineer) joined as a design-build team to improve the flow of traffic at the Mt Lehman interchange in Abbotsford to accommodate several developments in the Highstreet Area.

The project involved widening and realigning the Mt Lehman and Fraser Highway intersection, converting an undersized roundabout into a signalled intersection, widening the Highway 1 Eastbound and Westbound onramps, and reconfiguring the turning lanes of a third intersection. Major traffic management and planning were required to maintain the traffic flow of a very busy road interchange.
